During my online film trailer watching escapades on iTunes, I found these movie posters, done in a very Saul Bass style, even concluding whether the old man himself designed them. Alas, couldn't find the original culprit who had created these for the Rolling Road Show festival where "famous films play in famous places" across the U.S. I really adore them, even if it happens to rip-off or idolize Saul's style but I think we live in new age where ideas are trite in a split second because, alas, someone has already done it. Being unique is an incredible exertion especially in the internet era where herds are standing-by readily to massacre ideas down to its bones. Creativity mutates and evolves like a virus. They come and go, often, they'll revisit. Look at fashion; look at music, and the culinary arts; when have we never borrowed or been influenced by our creative past? What matters most is how the person execute them and what purpose do they serve.
Anyway,
Have you seen Catch Me if You Can? Remember the opening credits? So pretty...

Here's a comparison of a Saul Bass poster to demonstrate the resemblance.
